Saddest Picture To Date

We always wondered what it would take to really slow her down.
Apparently, it's a fever that has held steady from 101.7 to 102.2 all night and keepin it's pace this mornin.
~
Now, naturally, while she tries to recover, this would seem like a great time for me to organize her toy drawer or even just clean the house in general.
But somehow a cold found it's way into my head/nose/throat and is in full force today.
~
We are both sick with completely different illnesses.
She isn't stuffy or coughing or anything and I have no hint of a fever.
~
By the way, is it "starve a fever, feed a cold" or "feed a fever, starve a cold".
We both need this information.

Starve a fever, feed a cold. But my mom always gave me "dry toast and tea" when I had a fever. That's what her mom did (herbal tea, of course). :)

First, I think it's awesome that Gracie looks like Fred Savage (???). And her curls are so much curlier than when we last saw her! I'm sorry you're both sick. I've heard starve a fever, feed a cold but I've never done either of those things. I just eat no matter what :) Hope you're both feeling better soon! Call if you need anything, you know, from Utah.

You don't want to feed a fever because when your body breaks down food during metabolism, some energy is lost in the form of heat which warms you up. That's why if you're cold, eating something will help to warm you up. (I'm taking physiology right now) I could keep going, but I'll stop. Love you and hope you both get feeling better soon!

I'm so sorry you guys are sick, sis. NO FUN. I hope her fever's coming down and your cold's getting better. I've had my share of colds, as you know, and they're so annoying. In fact I just got over a mild one a week ago. When I was feeling the crummiest, I took Tylenol Sinus which helped my head feel better and sort of lessened the congestion. At night I took something to help my congestion and used Breathe Right strips to help clear things up at least a bit. I try to take lots of vitamin C (per Mom and Dad's advice) and drink and sleep as much as I can when I'm trying to get over one. (I'm obviously not one to ask how to avoid getting colds, but this has maybe helped me get over them faster - who knows).

Feed them both actually, but especially a fever. Your body needs the extra calories to heal itself, fevers burn more.
