She Speaks For Herself

I played the snare drum and sang at the same time in a talent show to this song.

That is a talent I know I'm proud of.

Are ya with me?

Or should I say "a-do, do you love me?"

(You aren't gonna read this blog any more, are you. . .)

I just want to post a disclaimer to this that as the mother involved I have no memory of this event described and am sure I had no part in its conception OR presentation. :)

Plus, let me just add that it was NOT Tom Brady or Randy Moss that beat the Colts as everyone seems to be blathering on about, it was the Pats defensive line. Wow.

Jake is always amazed when I can sing Paula Abdul songs word for word. I, too, would like the talent show video on the blog. I'm sure someone at your school video taped it.

I like 80's singing paula better than American Idol Paula. And I'm sure I'd like Mel singing Paula the very best!

Paula was the shiznit in high school .. yes I said high school. I remember doing cheer routines at cheer camp to her songs. You were probably in elementary school ... I am getting old.

Straight up now tell do you really want to love me forever? oh oh oh! Or are you just a hit and run? (words)!!!

Oh man, this was Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun back in the day. Remind me: you, me, Amy K and Kayla? Haha, good memories!

First of all, if Paula were to audition for American Idol with this gig, she wouldn't even get a yellow paper to go to Hollywood! And Simon would have a hayday with her outfit! But she was pretty awesome when I was 10.

Gotta love You Tube.
And...gotta love that my login on my school computer is "paulab". I didn't realize how funny it was until another teacher said, "I didn't realize Paula Abdul works here. That's cool". Does anyone else think that's funny?

PS. I used to make up dance routine's on my front lawn to Paula Abdul songs like Straight up, Forever Your Girl, & The Promise of a New Day...oh...and don't forget Will you Marry Me? Classic.

I didn't know you played the snare drum! I had a Paula tape when I was a kiddo (and tapes weren't obsolete). I gotta say, I'm still a fan. (Not so much of here these days, but the music for sure - and of course, American Idol.)
