Mel,
I honestly can't imagine how you must feel (still) about Gus and his passing. You are such a good example of how to remember yet. . .move forward despite the pain. Please know I think of you often and pray for you and ALL of your family! We love you.

Thank you again for inviting me to the facebook group remembering Gus. As you know I didn't get to meet him, but you do so much to help give us all a chance to get to know him. He is just such a sweetheart.

Melanie-
You are always in my thoughts and prayers. I cant even imagine what you guys are still going through. He is such a beautiful baby! I am so glad you guys have a wonderful group of support from family and friends. I hope that someday soon we can meet you. Its sad that we are related and live in the same state yet have not met. Hopefully soon. Take care.

Mel -- I think of you often, and I can't imagine what kind of pain you still must have of his passing. I hope one day I can meet you and see what a wonderful person you are. I am still praying for you to keep on healing.. Big hugs

I don't know you, but I've been checking your blog ever since you lost Gus. I'm so sorry you've been called to endure such an overwhelming trial. I'm glad you don't avoid the topic... I'm glad you post pictures of him. I know it is something you will never ever get over, but I hope you know that countless people think of you and pray for you and your family!

You're doing good things Melanie. Thank you for sharing them. Your little family has become quite an inspiration.

I love you, Mel, and have been thinking about you guys and Gus today. I agree with the above comments and particularly with what Karen said - "You're doing good things" and "Your little family has become quite an inspiration." SO TRUE.

I, too, think often of you guys and little Gus, and the feelings are still so close to the surface. It's very easy to be brought to quiet tears because it's so hard to have my 'baby' and his sweet wife have to experience this hurt.... but aren't we grateful for the knowledge that, truly, he is not really lost, but simply postponed.... What a great motivator that fact is!! And how good it is that you two are doing what is required to be worthy of HIM someday! Keep up the good work. We love you, Dad and I, and are so glad that you guys are our family!
